Channel Talk Service's Privacy Policy (for Managers)

As an information and communication service provider, Channel Corporation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "Channel") complies with the laws and privacy regulations of the Republic of Korea regarding the collection, use, and provision of personal information, and actively guarantees Manager's right to personal information such as the right to self-determination of personal information. This Privacy Policy applies to the Channel Talk Services provided by Channel (the "Services").

The Manager who actually uses Channel's Services (the "Manager") shall be deemed to have agreed to collect/use and provide personal information in accordance with the above Privacy Policy by clicking the "Sign Up" button after confirming the contents of this Privacy Policy at the time of membership.

1. Collection of Personal Information

  • Purpose of Collection
    In order to facilitate the smooth provision of Services, Channel will collect the Manager's personal information and, in the case of collecting the above personal information for other purposes, Channel will receive separate consent from the Manager.

    E-mail address, mobile number

  • How to collect
    (1) collecting information directly entered by Manager on the web page or mobile application during the process of registering for membership or in the process of using the Services
    (2) automatically collecting the Manager's entries through a plug-in installed on the Channel Talk homepage
    (3) obtaining from a third party who has already received the Manager's consent regarding the processing of personal information.
    Please note that this Privacy Policy does not apply to the collection of personal information made by obtaining from a third party who has already received the Manager's consent.

2. Use of Personal Information

Channel collects and uses the Manager's personal information to provide/improve the Services and develop new services.

  • How to use
    E-mail and mobile phone numbers are used to secure communication channels for membership verification, providing Services, delivery of notices, confirmation of their intentions, and handling complaints, or are used for the purpose of providing up-to-date information such as new services and event information.

  • Period of use
    While Manager is using the Services, Channel continues to retain the Manager's personal information and use it to provide convenient Services. However, if the Manager himself (legal representative if the Manager is under the age of 14) requests the change or deletion of personal information, Channel will delete the personal information in accordance with the policy so that it is not possible to view or use it toward the future.

3. Provision and Sharing of Personal Information

In principle, personal information cannot be provided to third parties unrelated to the Services without the Manager's consent. However, Channel may process personal information in a form that does not identify a specific individual and utilize it for Channel's business purposes.

In addition, Channel may provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the Manager in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the following cases:

  1. Where the information is requested by an investigative agency or other government agency in accordance with the law in due process; and
  2. Where otherwise required by laws.

4. Destruction of Personal Information

When the purpose of collection and use is achieved, Channel shall destroy Manager's personal information without delay, and the procedures and methods are as follows: In the case of the form of electronic files, we securely delete them from recovery and reproduction, and in other cases of archival records, printed materials, or documents, we will shred or incinerate them.

Channel separates or deletes the personal information of Managers who have not used the Services for one year, and the personal information separated or stored for a certain period of time will be destroyed without delay. The history of Manager's use of the Services will also be destroyed without delay after a certain period of storage.

Channel faithfully complies with the rules for the storage of personal information in accordance with the 'ACT ON PROMOTION OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK UTILIZATION AND INFORMATION PROTECTION, ETC.' and the 'Electronic Financial Transaction Act'.

5. Consignment of Personal Information Processing

In order to improve management efficiency and improve the quality of Services, Channel outsources the Services to third parties, such as external professional companies. To this end, we entrust third parties with the ability to collect, store, process, use, provide, manage, and destroy the Manager's personal information and customer information held by Business Operator. In addition, if Channel needs to entrust personal information to a third party, Channel will take legally necessary measures, such as modifying and disclosing this Privacy Policy.

6. Technical and Managemental Measures for the Protection of Personal Information

  • Channel does its best to prevent the leakage or damage of Manager's personal information by hacking or computer viruses.
    Channel backs up data from time to time in preparation for personal information damage, use the latest anti-virus program to prevent Managers' personal information and data from being leaked or damaged, and make it possible to securely transmit personal information on the network through encrypted communications. In addition, we use the firewall system to control unauthorized access from outside, and we strive to have all possible technical devices to ensure security in the systems.
    Channel's staff for processing personal information is limited to personnel, and we provide a separate password renewed regularly, and we emphasize compliance with our Privacy Policy through on-the-go training for personnel.
    However, Channel is not responsible for the leakage of personal information due to Manager's negligence. Therefore, we ask that Manager makes every effort to protect your privacy.

  • Channel may use cookies to provide you with quality service.
    Cookies are small amounts of information given to the Manager's computer browser by the server (HTTP) used to run the website and are sometimes stored on the hard disk in the Manager's PC computer. Manager’s visit history (IP, access time), cookies, browser type and device information are automatically collected. Managers may choose whether or not to use cookies used by Channel to provide quality service. Manager may use the option of a web browser to check each time a cookie is stored or refuse to store all cookies. However, refusing to install cookies will make you uncomfortable with the web and you may have difficulty using some Services. In addition, Channel will never disclose the information of cookies to third parties without a valid legal process.

Matters relating to feedback and complaints regarding personal information

Channel is listening to the Manager's opinion regarding privacy and have all procedures and methods in place to handle complaints. Manager can file a complaint with Channel's privacy officer and staff, and Channel will respond promptly and sufficiently to the Manager's report.
